Super Mario Bros (Japan) (FDS) DESCRIPCION: Super Mario Bros came out in 1985 and was the sequel of Mario Bros. Unlike the first opus (which only used static screens), the game features a smooth side scrolling and a much richer world to explore. The heroes of the game are Nintendo's mascots Mario and Luigi and their mission is to rescue Princess Peach (aka Princess Toadstool) captured by the evil reptilian Koopa (aka Bowser). But their journey will take them across the now familiar landscape of the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario and Luigi can jump and defeat their enemies by simply landing on their heads. But things do not stop there and our friends have a lot more in store - they can run, bash blocks with question marks on them and collect gold coins or power-ups. These come in different flavors and can give Mario and Luigi the ability to throw fireballs or become invincible. Colored mushrooms can also get them to grow in size. Super Mario Bros counts eight large areas divided into four sub-stages.
